The 2021 fall festival was on October 29th at the El Modena High School Nature Center. Luckily, we were welcomed with near-perfect weather, with the sun out and 68 degrees.
This performance was a demonstration of the talent of our Visual and Performing Arts program, including: dance, band, choir, and several other skits. Thanks to the director of the nature center, Jeanne C., we were able to not only enjoy an entertaining performance, but also have it in a beautiful location.
In the Nature Center during the festival, people could see Ms. Seid's graphic design students Halloween styled vintage Victorian photographs. Mr. Phun's students also had work on display from the Day of the Dead project that was done together with Ms. Emmy Wang's art students whose students also had their painted pumpkins on display. Mr. Beaman's ceramic students also displayed their work along the small pond.
Some of Ms. Gillen's drama students performed included: Vampire, Fairies, Grave Situation, and the Perfect Mask.
The Vanguard Dance Company also performed the "Jitterbug Beware" during the Fall Festival.
Furthermore, Ms. Solis's Choir students performed several songs in front of everybody such as the Ballad of Sweeney Todd, Song of the Fortune Tellers, Lydia the Tattooed Lady, and This is Halloween.
I picked these 10 pictures because they truly capture the atmosphere of the whole event. My favorite one was Logan's face because it really showed the way the performances were able to captivate the audience.
